Dr. Kwame Asante

League President

A former national swimmer and sports medicine physician with over 20 years of experience in aquatic sports development. Dr. Asante leads the league's strategic direction and external partnerships.

Abena Mensah

Vice President

An experienced sports administrator and former competitive swimmer who oversees league operations, meet coordination, and team relations across all regions.

Kofi Darko

Technical Director

A certified World Aquatics coach educator responsible for competition standards, rules enforcement, and the technical development of the league's events and formats.

Esi Quansah

Director of Operations

With a background in event management and logistics, Esi ensures every meet runs smoothly — from venue preparation to results publication.

Nana Adjei

Director of Rankings & Records

A data-driven analyst who maintains the league's results database, calculates rankings, verifies records, and manages the Aqua Points system.

Ama Osei

Director of Communications

A sports journalist and media professional who manages the league's public communications, news coverage, social media presence, and community engagement.

Organizational Structure

The Ghana Swim League operates with a clear governance hierarchy to ensure effective decision-making and accountability.

Executive Board

The Executive Board is the highest governing body of the league, consisting of the President, Vice President, and Directors. The board sets strategic direction, approves budgets, and makes policy decisions that shape the league's future.

Operational Committees

Specialized committees handle day-to-day operations including meet management, technical standards, results verification, communications, and team relations. Each committee is led by its respective Director and staffed by trained volunteers.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board provides expert guidance on sports science, youth development, international relations, and health and safety. Advisory members are distinguished professionals who volunteer their expertise.

Member Teams & Athletes

The foundation of the league: registered swim teams, their coaches, and athletes. Member teams participate in governance through regular forums, feedback channels, and representation on operational committees.
